Smart View alternative?

Any suggestions for an alternative to Smart View? Essbase users currently connect using Smart View and retrieve and load data (and a handful have calc privileges). Anyone aware of an alternative that has all these abilities? We've looked into XLCubed, but the vendor doesn't support write back or calculations.
