Slowing down enqueue procedure...."Sometimes"

AuthiAug 8 2006 — edited Oct 5 2006
Hi all

I'm using 10gR2 RAC on HP/Itanium.
In my environment, enqueue procedure needs unbearable time to be proceeded "sometimes".
Usually my enqueue PL/SQL procedure can be proceeded within 5 seconds to enqueue 5000 messages into single queue. Even though I use same PL/SQL procedure, sometimes it takes more than 10 minutes to enqueue 5000 messages.

I've been trying to figure out this situation, however, I couldn't find even a bottle neck.
CPU, Memory I/O seems fine as far as I checked. We have no critical alert logs.

I guess its due to SGA related parameters, DB_CACHE_SIZE etc., and/or RAC environment.
Does anybody have any idea on tuning up SGA for AQ?
Are there any performance restriction to use AQ on RAC environment?

Please let me know where to check to see the problem.

Thanks in advance,

Authi
