Slow rate of data load using Informatica

641402May 26 2008 — edited May 28 2008
Hi All,
We are in the process of loading the production data.We use Informatica 7.1.2 to extract the data from OLTP and to laod them into the respective target tables. A particular table having 120 million records (W_ASSET_D) got loaded in 24 hrs , while loading the account table (W_ORG_D) from W_ORG_DS (contains 54 million) has already run for 50 hrs and still 20 odd million records are left.
During the start of data load the througput (rows/sec) it was around 2000 and after 50 hrs it stands at 100.
1) Why does the throughput get reduced gradually?
2) When another table having 120 millions records was loaded in 24 hrs , why does a table having half no: of records take more time.

If you can throw some light into these , it would have been of great help.

Regards
Sree
