Oracle Database Discussions

You are hired as DBA in a new Company.

They have the production isntance in a P650 RS/6000 IBM Server.
Oracle 9.2

They also have another P650 server in a remote site intending to by a replication site.
(is not in use by now).

You have signed this Service Level Agremment, your database shold by online at least the 99.5% of time yearly.

the company have an IBM HACMP licence active.

What would you do to acomplish the SLA.?

1.
a. Bring the unnused P650 to the production SIte.
b. Impplement HACMP and ORacle 9i Rac

2. a. Bring the unnused P650 to the production SIte.
b. install a Oracle 10g RDBMS in the unnused Server.
c. immplement 10g RAC.

3. immplement an standby Database in the Remote Site.

4. Local Stanby Database

5. Other....??

ill vote for option 2... but would like any given advice...
