skipping system dump - no dump device configured

807557Oct 12 2008 — edited Oct 16 2008
Hi,
I have a Sun Fire V120 Ultra Sparc-IIe 648MHZ
with 2 disk 1x 73GB and 1x 36.4GB

probe-scsi

Target 0
Unit 0 Disk ModusLnk

Target 1
Unit 0 DIsk HP36.4GMAN3367MC HP07

I'm trying to install SOLARIS 10 but when I type boot cdrom (or boot cdrom -s )
I receive the following error:

skipping system dump - no dump device configured
rebooting . . .
resetting . . . "

I have seen a lot of posts about this error but I didn't find a solution.
I have tryed to remove the 73GB hard disk and this error does not appear and I can proceed to setup.
But I'd should want to install SOLARIS 10 on 73GB hard disk (new disk - checked hard disk!!)
Why when I try to use this new disk I receive this error? How can to format it if I can't get a console to type
format command?
So how can I resolve this problem? Please let me know.

thanks
jh
