SJWS7u8 and ColdFusion server-side form validation

807567Mar 25 2010 — edited Apr 1 2010
Hello,

I have just upgraded from Sun Java Web Server 6.1 to 7 update 8. I am also running Cold Fusion 8. Prior to the upgrade, ColdFusion server-side form validation worked fine. After the Sun Java Web Server upgrade, server-side form validation is ignored. After checking the log files, I found that SJWS 7u8 could not find the cfide/scripts/cfform.js file. I moved the cfide directory (including all folder and files) into the location Sun was looking for. It no longer produces the "cannot find the file" error but still ignores the validation. It does not seem to be producing any error messages in the error logs but throws an 500 server error when submitting without the required fields. The server error is being thrown from SJWS rather than from our customized CF server error page.

I am at a loss and would love any insight you could provide. Thank you!
