Sizing requirement for a windows terminal server

807578Sep 17 2010 — edited Sep 23 2010
hi guys,
i am proposing a VDI solution based on VM virtual box or the microsoft remote desktop services (RDS) as the virtualization layer. see http://wikis.sun.com/display/VDI3dot2/Architecture

While the hardware sizing guideline is for the VM Virtual box is relatively accessible and straightforward ,
does any one having any similar guide lines for the RDS ?

Another question is that, does the RDS only run on a windows 2008 or 2003 server ?
can it run on a solaris 10 ? reason i am asking is because i am trying to
run both the session management layer and the virtualization layer on
the same box and OS.

Windows Noob here.
