Show APEX Version in Application

SaraBFeb 19 2008 — edited Mar 8 2011
As part of my application there is an About page which will be a link in the Navigation Bar so that it is accessible from all pages. The APEX applications I'm developing will sit on top of a very large and complex database. From past experience of supporting other applications on this database having a screen to display simple information such as the version of the database they are running and the database sid is invaluable.

I can display most of the information I need. However, is there a way of displaying the version of APEX they are running (e.g. 3.0.1.00.08). We're going to be developing against 3.0.1, but shipping the finished application to a number of customers. Although we will specify clearly in our installation documentation that they need APEX 3.0.1, we are bound to have customers that do something different. Being able to display the APEX version on the About page would be very useful.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Sara
