show a loading icon on select list change (Page submit)

Hi there - We have a select list with a bunch of values. On change it is set to "Page submit" and it also has some pl/sql processes running when the list value is changed. However, these processes take some time to execute. Was wondering if there is a way to show a loading icon while this is being execute. I know this can be done via DA. Wondering if there is some way to do this when we have page submit set.
