Shared pool size (need to increase)

John-MKOct 31 2012 — edited Nov 2 2012
Hi Folks,

On 11.2.0.3 DB with Linux, following is the current allocation from the MEMORY ADVISORY section of OEM Grid Control:

Pasting from OEM:
Current Allocation

Automatic Shared Memory Management	Enabled
Total SGA Size (MB)	39936

SGA Component	Current Allocation (MB)
Shared Pool 9216 -->>>>> I want to increase this value to 11GB (At the moment its 23.1% of the total size of SGA,i.e., 39936
Buffer Cache 29952
Large Pool 128
Java Pool 128
Other 512
Can I increase the SHARED POOL value of 9216 to 11000 ONLINE? no restart of DB or etc. I have heard that its possible without reboot/restart, isn't it?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Best Regards
