Hi Guys

Our Shared pool size is consistently growing. We had outage when it reached 2 GB last time. its again growing and now at 1.3 GB.

don't know the reason why it is growing too much??

please see below information.

SGA_TARGET =6GB
SGA_MAX_SIZE=8GB

cpu_count=6.

I did try few things .....
(1) flush the shared_pool --- No effect

Not sure if below idea can help us.

If We can alter SGA_TARGET size to 7GB. currently it is 6GB. and sga_max_size is 8GB.

My query is ...... Why it is happening........And what we can do......Please send your expert advise on this. ASAP.

My configuration is ........

Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.1.0.7.0 - 64bit Production

Let me know if you need more information.
