RamarajuSep 18 2016 — edited Sep 19 2016

Hi all,

We have 2 TB 11.2.0.4.0 database and it is having following SGA, PGA & RAM memory sizes. How can I increase SGA & PGA memories based this database configuration. Is there any formula for SGA & PGA memories depending Database size and RAM? Please advise.

SQL> show parameter SGA

NAME     TYPE VALUE

------------------------------------ ----------- ------------------------------

lock_sga     boolean FALSE

pre_page_sga     boolean FALSE

sga_max_size     big integer 25G

sga_target     big integer 25G

SQL> show parameter PGA

NAME     TYPE VALUE

------------------------------------ ----------- ------------------------------

pga_aggregate_target     big integer 1G

$ free -m

total       used       free     shared    buffers     cached

Mem:        258090     257004       1085          0       1028      95271

-/+ buffers/cache:     160704      97385

Swap:        12291          0      12291

Thanks,

Ramaraju
