SFTP Logging in Solaris using "Internal-SFTP"

Santhosh KumarNov 18 2013 — edited Nov 21 2013

Hi All,

I'm trying to enable logging of SFTP file transfers for Jailed Users on Solaris 10/11 using "internal-sftp' server. Please help on configuration.

SSHD_CONFIG:

     1) Subsystem sftp internal-sftp -f LOCAL7 -l DEBUG

     2) Made use of "MATCH" command for using Chrootdirectory for user's falling in same GROUP.

SYSLOG.CONF : Created new log entry as "*.debug    /var/log/sftp1logs"

For Non-Jailed Users I can see logs clearly for file transfers but not for jailed Users.

For details logs please visit : http://serverfault.com/questions/555225/sftp-logging-in-solaris-server-using-internal-sftp?noredirect=1#comment642698_555225

As per SFTPSERVER man pages on Solaris 11(http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23824_01/html/821-1462/sftp-server-1m.html#REFMAN1Msftp-server-1m) , one need to enable SOCKET for reading the /dev/logs from Jailed User environments.
