APEX 5/11g database. I have a system that was originally written in forms and is in the process of being re-written in APEX and is currently a mix of the two. Our dba encrypted the database (TDE) and since then the performance in the APEX portion of the application has taken a significant performance hit. The forms portion has had no noticeable difference in performance. In APEX, screens that previously rendered in 2-3 seconds now take 10-15 seconds.
I did see a suggestion in another post to apply a patch 14468919 and have forwarded that on to my dba for consideration. Has anybody else seen this kind of performance hit in their APEX applications post-encryption and if so what was the resolution?
