Several Java Virtual Machines running in the same process caused an error

Hi

When I browse any site requiring a JVM on my computer I get the following pop-up box error message:
"Several Java Virtual Machines running in the same process caused an error"

I get it using IE and Firefox on an XP SP2 computer. Any pointers on how to debug/fix this error?
