setup physical standby database server on different version of OS error

Hi there

We have a database 11g (11.1.0.7) on Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.2 (Tikanga) 2.6.18 92.el5 (64-bit) operating system. I want to set up a physical standy database using data guard broker on DR server which has Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES release 4 (Nahant Update 3) 2.6.9 34.ELsmp (64-bit) operating system.

Please advice is it possible.

I'm getting error message when i tried to setup standy by database using GC - " The specified Oracle Home (/u01/app/oracle/product/11.1.0/db_1) is not compatible with the source database."
