Setting SSHD Timeout

807559Apr 22 2004 — edited Apr 29 2004
I'm running Solaris 9 and can't seem to figure out how to extend ( or disable ) the ssh session time-out period. ( I get logged out after about 5 minutes of inactivity )

On the server side, I have tried to alter "/etc/default/login" and set the TIMEOUT variable to different settings, and also tried looking for directives to "/etc/ssh/sshd_config" to no avail.

On the client side, though I don't think its a result of a shell-auto-logout ( no auto-logout message appears on terminal ) I have tried turning off auto-logout in the shell; also to no avail.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wring, and how to extend ( or disable ) the sshd time-out period?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
~ed
