Setting Password to explicitly expire in x days

742876Feb 1 2010 — edited Feb 2 2010
Is there a way for the DBA to set a password to expire in x days. where x days is not the time stored in the profile parameter.

All our users are assigned a profile which requires the users to change password every 60 days.

However if a DBA were to set the password then we require the DBA to set the password expiration for the user to x days, so that , the user has x days to reset his password.

Typically x would be 3-5 days.

I know the DBA can set the password to expire immediately , but that does not help our case.
