set var FORMS_PATH in Linux environment (formsweb.cfg)

My question is:

Can I set var FORMS_PATH in Linux environment as:

FORMS_PATH=/u01/oracle/ora_midtier/forms:
FORMS_PATH=$FORMS_PATH:/Forms10g/Source_Appl/Web/Menu

or in different way (%FORRRXXXX%)
