set value for a hidden item at a certain time interval

Hi!

I work on Apex 18.1 on top of Oracle Database 12.2

I want to set the value of a hidden item at a certain time interval (repeteadly). The value is not important, it will be 1 every time. The timer is what I'm looking for. This will further trigger the refresh of a chat window but that's also not important.

How do I do this?
