Session timeout redirect after inactivity

Jdevloper -12.2.1.3
I am facing an issue with identifying session timeout in SessionExpiryFilter.
I have seen a few posts already posted related to this .
e.g: https://community.oracle.com/tech/developers/discussion/3952768/adf-jdeveloper-12c-session-timeout-not-working-as-expected-but-works-in-11g
is there any solution available now?
