Session timeout get 404 error

We are using JDEVADF_11.1.1.2.0_GENERIC_091029.2229.5536

On a bounded taskflow page A, after the session expired, we are redirected to the login page.
After login, however we got 404 error.

The error happens on IE but not on Firefox.
On firefox, the original page A is displayed.

We tried implementing the http://thepeninsulasedge.com/frank_nimphius/2007/08/22/adf-faces-detecting-and-handling-user-session-expiry/ and we still got 404 error.

We hope either to go back to page A or designate our welcome page to be displayed when the session timeout.

Any suggestion on to achieve that?
