Session problem with Tomcat

Hello Guyz,
Need a lil help over here...
Im using tomcat server as my servlet container..
Im having a servlet to invalidate the session during logout in my page..Whn i use this logout my session gets invalidated...and it asks me to login again.
At the same case whn i dont use this Logout means in the middle of application i just shutdown and restart the server it doesnt ask me to login again..It simply allows me to use the application with logging in.
I dont want this to happen..Even in the middle of the application i restart the server it must ask me to login again
So How do i go about this please Explain??
