hi all....

i am using IBM,8203-E4A P6 series of AIX server... the detail configuration of my sever is::

--------------

-------------------

here in this server we have two asynchronous port for serial connection, its vty1 and vty2, n we have to connect our HSM (Host Security Module) on one of this serial port.....bt while we are connecting HSM on this port it did not work......then we add one PCI serial connection to the server so we can connect our HSM on this added port (it is created as tty0 in server)....bt sadly it wont work again.....we use this command to check the port availability 'portchk /dev/tty0 5'....
so please suggest me what i can do to overcome from this issue and tell me is there any other command in AIX to check the port!!!
