sequence no generation

Hi Gurus
I have on the average 6million records per day popluated to my database and need to assign a key to it.i am not sure if i create a unique sequence in oracle will help as i dont want it exhaust sooner.I am popualting this no to a number(20) field.
please let me know the best way to do it.
