Sending iCalender event via mail

Hi community,

so I need to create an event as ical-format and send it automatically via mail. Is there in APEX5 any simple solution?

I read this post and tried it out. Sending the mail with the ical attachment is working but I cannot open the file.

I cant find any solution for this.

Any suggestions?
