I know this is not the plug-in support forum.
I did ask the same question on the Select2 plug-in Git page (https://github.com/nbuytaert1/apex-select2/issues/104)
but did not get any help. So I thought let me just ask here as well as I assume a lot of people use the plug-in as Apex does not support a combo box with its own page items. We need a control to select from a list of previous items but add if it is not in the list.
I even asked on the main Select2 Git page (https://github.com/select2/select2/issues/5378 )
I made a little test page

You can add new values to the LOV / Combo Box by typing and pressing enter on any browser (Fire Fox, Chrome , Safari, Edge). But Internet Explorer 11 does not. We are about to go live with a new app and now found that IE has this issue.
Do any of you know how to fix it.
