select used_ublk from v$transaction - when released

Hi,
I'm observing huge rollback in my 9.2.0.8, and wonder when actually undo space is released is that
consequently as used_ublk decreases or whole space occupied by undo records is released just after finish of rollback (no entry i v$transaction for that transaction).
I believe thats the second option but please confirm .
