Segment Advisor Recommendations: shrink space

Hello,

The Segment Advisor on my 10gR2 db server recommends me to 'Shrink space' on some table indexes and 'enable row movement and shrink space' on some tables.

What is the purpose of that? Is ‘shrink space’ same as rebuild or reorganize index?

Is that going to improve the db performance better?
