Security issue for sqlplus / as sysdba

Hi All,

11.2.0.1

My boss is not comfortable with the command "sqlplus / as sysdba". He seem would like to prefer that a userid/password be used or enforced? as in "sqlplus sys/change_on_install as sysdba".

Is there really an advantage or disadvantage of this command in terms of security?
