I am a newbie IT person who has been tasked with finding an alternative to the deprecated Java Web Start. We don't use JWS in development, but some of our tools from vendors rely on it.
In some forums, people have vaguely mentioned security problems with JWS, but I haven't found any more detail. If there is a security problem for us, I'd like to understand it better. Does anyone know if there are risks for continued use of tools with JWS?
