Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Arm-based Compute enables current workloads to run less expensively. With OCI, you can build next-generation applications with greater economics and predictable and superior performance. Oracle Linux, combined with OCI’s high-performance cloud architecture and Ampere’s Altra processor, delivers the best price-performance in the cloud. OCI Ampere A1 Compute running Oracle Linux offers the best platform to develop, deploy, and run Arm-based applications.
For enhanced security, the Oracle Linux 7 Arm STIG image enables you to easily deploy hardened OS instances in OCI. This Arm image is an Oracle Linux 7 implementation of the Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) for OCI. When deployed, you can configure the Arm instance to match certain security standards and requirements set by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) of the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD).
The Oracle Linux 7 Arm STIG image is scanned against the target DISA STIG Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Benchmark profile. Not all elements of the Oracle Linux 7 STIG are implemented in the image because of requirements specific to the user environment. The resulting OpenSCAP compliance score is published in the documentation.
