Screen Resolution on OEL 5 running on OVM server

Hello I am running the Oracle Linux VM Template for EBS server 12.1.3 and I need to update the screen resolution to something greater than 800X600 in order to install some additional Oracle Apps. How can I updated the resolution as the only options when going to system..administration..display is 800X600 and 640X480. I am using the GNOME desktop environment.
