SCP bandwidth limit

I'm trying to find a way to limit bandwidth on a SCP transfer. Seraching the net it seems other flavors of Unix support a "-l" command for SCP to limit the bandwidth, but on my Solaris 10 boxes they do not support this. Is there any method I could use (perferably without installing additional software) to limit speeds on a transfer?
