Current Limitation (Oracle NMS 2.3 / 2.6)
The schematic view in NMS provides an excellent logical representation of electrical connectivity and is highly effective for grid status overview and operational source tracing. However, it does not allow devices located within the same vault or cabinet to be displayed in close proximity. This limitation can make it challenging for operators to quickly interpret physical relationships during outage analysis or switching operations.
Proposed Enhancement
Generate the schematic maps to visually cluster related devices based on their physical association (e.g., same vault, cabinet, or enclosure), while preserving the logical connectivity representation.
