I'm planning to backup a schema with Datapump for the first time, I do understand that under normal circumstances I would typical invoke expdp with the user that owns the schema I'm backing up. For an example for backing up the hr schema I should connect with the hr account "expdp hr parfile=hr.par". (I plan to use a parameter file).
But if I'm not using the account that owns the schema I'm backing up or exporting. Which user should I use, what is considered best practice? Should I use sys or system, or sys with as sysdba. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
