Scaling currency format to thousands, millions, etc... in Excel w/ OracleBI

Formatting currency values to scale to thousands, millions, etc.. is as easy as selecting from a drop-down within the format cell option when using Discoverer OLAP. However, there doesn't appear to be a way to do the same thing within Excel w/ Oracle BI. Has anyone done this? Thank you.
