save button remains disabled after update with post-forms-commit trigger

Hi there...,

I have following situation:
on a tabpage I have 1 checkbox(varchar2(1), 'Y' or 'N', updateble) and 1 textitem 'length' (number, not updateble).

On form-level I have a post-forms-commit trigger with a procedure which evaluates the sum of the length of all records on a multi-record block for which the checkbox is set to 'Y. If the sum is greater then x, a message is given, warning the user to check/uncheck the checkboxes to a sum of length which is smaller.
So far so good...

However, if I uncheck the checkbox which causes the sum of length being to0 great, and I then want to save the new combination of records (I have unchecked one checkbox), the save button remains disabled.

I really have no glue how to cause these standard form-save button to became enabled.

Any help would be appreciated...thks

John.
