Sample WMS Client with Mapviewer?

Anyone know of/have a simple WMS Client which utilizes Mapviewer's WMS Server Servlet and the Java API addWMSMapTheme(...)? Was hoping to quickly test the concept using a jsp to select a public WMS Server, select a given map, and then have mapviewer include this layer with some pre-defined ones.
