SAML in application

I have to test my application for SAML .

We are expecting a SAML response with my URL along with user id as an embbeded attribute in the response.

How do  I do my testing with proper IdP where in it redirects to my application URL with SAML response .

Can I use any open source testing suite for this purpose .

Any links or docs would help..
