Same application id can be used in different workspaces pointing to different schemas ?

Hi All,

I have two work spaces WS1( in database SCHEMA1) and WS2(in databse SCHEMA2) in same database. Can i have same application id say 100 in both work spaces ?. If so how they apex url will differentiate these two applications ?. (I read some where that application id must be unique in database level or database schema level. not really sure) Thanks in advance for your help.
