Salvaging data from a Tablespace with a missing datafile

89387Feb 7 2002
Hi!

That4s a big, big trouble. We have(or had) a 7.3.4 Instance running on a HP-UX 10.20. During a maintenance, with the tablespace offline, one of the datafiles was lost. When we
started the restore procedures, we figured out that we don4t have any backup of the missing datafile and don4t have all the archive files to rebuild it. Plus: because the maintenance,
the tablespace was offline when the datafile was lost. The tablespace affected contained only data!

The instance have only 2 tablespaces: data (14 datafiles) and indexes (10 datafiles). Is there any chance to salvage data from the "good ones" datafiles ?
I mean: put the tablespace online or something else and make an export to extract remaining data. I don4t care about consistency.

Any sugestions are welcome.

Thanks in advance.
