Version: 11.2.0.3 on RHEL 6.2
We have a production Database which is in ARCHIVELOG mode.For a redo log resizing activity, we want to drop some Online redo logs. So,after we add the new log groups with bigger size, we will drop the smaller log groups. I was planning to drop the INACTIVE redo log group.
But, according to the below documentation redo log groups with the status INACTIVE or ACTIVE may or may not be archived. So, how can I safely drop an INACTIVE redo log group ?
