Running WGET from Apex

Hello

I wish to run windows program form APEX.

In this case it is program WGET ... downloads website information. ... (you could used a ping test if wish a simpler example)

The program has input parameters e.g. website name ... wget www.mydomain.com -t 1 -k -p

it also has output information I need to access in APEX e.g. "Downloaded: 25 files, 816K in 11s (74.1 KB/s)"

Is this possible?
