Our business is running a medium sized Oracle Forms application which has been in existence since 1998. The application is upgraded regularly and work has been done to modernize within forms. We are interested in modernizing the application by extending into Oracle Apex or ADF to make up for deficiencies where forms falls short and to slowly modernize the application.
We have a smaller team and know we are better positioned to slowly transition to new technology while continuing to use forms for many of our screens. This process could take years. I am looking for insight as to which tool would be the best fit (Apex or ADF) and also for clarity on a few questions.
Is it correct that forms can be embedded into ADF to run as one application; whereas Apex is a separate application that could use SSO?
Are both Apex and ADF free with forms licensing, or will one of the two add additional costs.
Thanks so much, also love to hear of others success stories.
