Running Oracle Forms applications using Firefox 3.6

carpenteriAug 3 2010 — edited Aug 3 2010
Friends,

I know this is a relatively common question but I can't seem to find a step by step guide to enable me to use Firefox to run an Oracle Forms application.

The JRE used is JRE 1.6.018

The application runs fine through IE7 & 8 but when I try to use Firefox to launch it I see a page where there is two options a yellow line\banner with an option to install the additional plugins and an option on the page to download the missing plug-ins.

Clicking either, results in the plugin not being found, clicking manual install redirects to http://java.sun.com/products/archive/j2se/1.4.2_06/index.html

What I have done so far is to copy the file:

npjpi160_18.dll

From the JRE\bin directory to

Mozilla Firefox\plugins

However I still encounter the problem.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!
