Running IRR with Windows Scheduler

user281697Sep 17 2009 — edited Sep 21 2009
I am currently running an IRR report on my desktop through the windows scheduler. I have a document script that kicks off the report once opened and the report produces a .txt file that sits on a server. I have an issue with my machine re booting every time a windows security update is downloaded; this is an internal security feature I can’t turn off. Once my machine has re-booted my report will not be kicked off by windows scheduler, which causes us issues in the mornings when this happens. We are trying to figure out if it is possible to install IRR on a server so we can schedule the report on it and work around this security issue.

Document script example:

ActiveDocument.Sections["DB"].Shapes["RunAll"].OnClick()

Any guidance as to how to install IRR on a server and have the .BQY report run successfully would be appreciated.
