Running Full Load ETL

JUPSMar 25 2010 — edited Mar 25 2010
Hi,

i have installed DAC and have done all the steps mentioned in the oracle documentation. I dont have any sample ERP database for OLTP datasource. Is there any way to run a sample ETL to test the configuration.

i tried running "Full ETL Load" according to the documentation example, but i am not clear on steps:

1. I have created copy of "Oracle 11.5.10" Source system container {i was successful}
2. set the parameters appropriately in source system parameters tab in design view {left default values}
3. set the DAC system properties in setup view {left default values}
4. Created new execution plan, selected and added subject area {Added Financials - Receivables}
5. Clicked on Generate Paarameters
6. Asked to edit three parameters:
6.1. DBConnection_OLAP: I have configured my Oracle Business Intl. Warehouse in physical datasources
6.2. DBConnection_OLTP: I left the default values, since i have no access to ERP OLTP database
6.3. FlatFileConnection: I left the default values, since i have idea what to update

What needs to be given as parameters for 6.2, 6.3

Is it possible to run a Full Load ETL in my case or its compulsary that i should have a sample OLTP ERP database?

Please suggest how to get my Oracle BI Warehouse populated with sample data.

Regards,
Sreekanth.
