./runInstaller error. How is it possible?!?

Hi,
Some days ago i installed linux Mandriva 2007. Then i tried to install Oracle 9.2.0.4 but when i executed ./runInstaller an error occured and installation stopped. I read something about incompatibility between some Linux versions and Oracle. So i decide to change to Linux Enterprise edition. But same error occurs:

Initializing Java Virtual Machine from /home/oracle/tmp/OraInstall2007-01-10_11-10-55PM/jre/bin/java. Please wait...
Error occurred during initialization of VM
Unable to load native library: /home/oracle/tmp/OraInstall2007-01-10_11-10-55PM/jre/lib/i386/libjava.so: symbol __libc_wait, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference

I ask: Was Linux Enterprise completely compatible with Oracle 9.2.0.4 or not?

Thanx a lot in advance

Maverick
