Run a PBCS report through smart view - where is the POV?

Teresa ModestaOct 24 2018 — edited Oct 25 2018

Hello,

I have reports created in 'Financial Reporting Web Development'

I open smart view using the 'shared connections' to connect to my PBCS instance, and select 'Reporting Settings' to navigate the report folders - using an admin user.

I find the report I want to run and double click.

It prompts me with the end user POV connection for the version that I want.

It then shows another prompt window for the in report prompts for Month and Cost Centre.

I select and okay as appropriate and tick 'Refresh Using Workspace Point of View'

The report runs and appears in excel workbook as you would hope.

My question is; - where is the POV for the report - when I refresh it does not re-prompt and I cannot see the POV in the workbook, though there is a brief 'flash' when it appears to be there, but it disappears once it has completed again.

I have tried connecting to an ad-hoc grid to get the second toolbar back with the POV control on, but it disappears as soon as I navigate back to the workbook.

I have tried looking at every control I can see but I can see nothing that relates to the POV.

I have tried reading the manual but it is real quiet on this feature, unless I am missing something obvious.

Does anyone know how I can get a POV that use to change refreshed data from what was originally used in first putting the report in the worksheet??

Can anyone please help me on this one???
